CVCC, yo.

We had two of those back when I was a kid. Dad bought them as disposable daily drivers.

Thanks love those things, dislike the premium price people try to get for them and the diesel caddys because of the good mileage and ease of biofuel conversion but still have to love me.

I had an '81 diesel Caddy in red, but I sold it to get my Land-Rover painted. When I turned it loose, it had 242,000 miles, and I'd put on probably 30k of those. Had A/C but no real other options, and I'd spend a good bit of those miles fixing things (bad bolts on the A/C mounts, a radiator that destructed, ball joints, loose shift linkage, etc.).

It had a bed cap, so I used it to move all my stuff the first two years in college. A little body-ripply in places but pretty much rust free.

Yea hence the name 84 rabbit first car, those dam shift linkage parts, at least thats all it took and you have all your gears back, it's not like the the newer five speeds and the syncro issue... Which I think I may be getting close to having going to see is sycromesh will help if not, I might cheat on my self , that fiesta st is just calling me, especially if we do really get monotune here.

My mom had one of those, it was a white '75 Civic CVCC. In '83 when I was 8 years old we drove cross-country in it. I remember it being a fun trip, even after the alternator failed.
